Are You Waiting Until You Feel Like It?

It may be a long wait!  People who are in great shape don't workout just when they feel like it.  They do it when they feel like it, when they don't feel like it, and when they really don't want to do it...they just do it!  Excuses are just that: excuses.  Write your workouts on your calendar and commit to doing them.

Rather than thinking about how you feel now, think about how you will feel later.  Will you feel guilty, ashamed and sluggish because you didn't do it?  Or will you feel proud, accomplished and energetic after doing your workout?

Just do it.

I Failed The Pencil Test

What is the pencil test?

To see if your butt has enough lift, simply take a pencil and place it in the crease where your butt meets the top of the back of your thigh.  If the pencil stays put or actually disappears, your butt lacks the LIFT that reduces that crease.  The goal is to lose fat and firm your butt, so it's lifted and the pencil falls on the floor. The Beachbody Brazil Butt Lift DVDs unlock the secret to getting the "lift" you need.

What You Eat May Be Depressing You

I think Satan designs those gorgeous, giant boxes of designer Godiva chocolates. They look so beautiful; they promise so much; and they deliver pure misery, just like a handsome, charming womanizer.

There is a logical error of cause and effect at work here. Many women think that when they are depressed, chocolate will make them feel better. In fact, it is probably the regular consumption of chocolate with its delivery of sugar and fat that may be disturbing their mood in the first place.

Clean As Yo Go!

A friend of mine, who is a chef, said that when he is in the kitchen he "cleans as he goes" so that there is no big cleanup chore later.

This is like weight maintenance.  You need to weigh in regularly and take action (clean up) when your weight increases by a few pounds instead of being afraid to weigh yourself until you have gained so much weight that it seems hopeless.

Are there dirty dishes in your sink?

Did Santa Make You Eat Those Christmas Cookies and Candy Canes?

Gosh dangut, Santa made me eat those Christmas cookies and candy canes.

Does Mrs. Claus and the recipes she has shared with mothers and grandmothers and the occasional dad or grandfather over-compensate with food for the time and attention they wish they given you at other times in the year?

Those darn food pushers!  Gotta love 'em.  Actually, it would probably help to reassure them that you appreciate their care, even if misguided.  Tell them that you are happy to see them and ask about how they have been, while calmly telling them that while the Christmas treat looks delicious, "No, thank you."

The holidays are a time to enjoy people and events, not food.  Some people get their love and/or entertainment from non-food items.

It's Never Too Late

Some of the most fit people in the gym are the seniors. They finally have no excuse and plenty of time to be healthy and happy.  Watch this 86-Year-Old Body Builder on youtube.
